Dorico

Hello to Team Dorico!

Thanks for your interest in potentially working together.

I’ve been on Sibelius for the past 15 years. I never updated beyond Sib 6 because it had everything I needed, and I was never totally convinced it would be for the better. I owe so much to that program because I’ve built a career and livelihood from using the tools Sibelius provides musicians and educators.

I’m now finally at the point where I need notation software on my new machine, rather than having two computer setups. Doing so would require me to re-learn the current Sibelius version…or perhaps now is the time to try something new.

This is where Dorico comes in.

Below are some of my current projects in progress. I use social media and videos in quite a few of my projects. My idea is to put together a video or two that would explain and demonstrate why I’m making the switch to Dorico, and document an actual user’s reasons and learning process when “jumping ship.”

I regularly receive questions about how I create and format my scores, and I think these videos may be helpful and informative to other teachers and students looking at the “latest and greatest” in notation software.

Thanks again for your time, I look forward to hearing back from you!
