Writing Assignment 1: DUE Monday, 9/22/14
“Help me get to know you!”
I want to get to know you better! I think the better I know my students, the better I understand what’s interesting to them, how they learn, and what I can do to help them. For this assignment, write me something that I can read that tells me about yourself. It can be in the form of an essay, letter, news column – use your creativity! The goal is to create content that reflects who you are and gives me some perspective on what you think is important and worthwhile, as well as what your goals are. How many siblings do you have? What songs or bands do you like? Any tunes you’d like to learn how to play on your instrument? What do you like to do when you’re not at school? What do you want to be when you grow up?
The questions above are just ideas to help you get started, but write something that you like. With your assignment, be thoughtful, be poignant – be your best.
